Features
The new Capitol Correspond 8 system has been completely redesigned from the ground up using extensive information and advice obtained from current clients. Our revolutionary pipeline technology allows you to quickly and efficiently sort, manage, and respond to your constituent mail, regardless of how it was received. In addition, our integration with iConstituent’s Constituent Gateway means that managing your constituent communication strategy has never been easier.

With Capitol Correspond 8, your office decides the rules used to standardize, group, and sort your new correspondence.

Casework
The Casework module is designed to assist you in managing complex issues that may last over an extended period and require multiple instances of communication with your constituents and possibly other organizations or agencies. The flexibility of the Casework module allows you to manage "tickets" or calls through resolution while allowing elected officials to assist constituents in interacting effectively with federal, state, and local agencies or departments.
Casework has a powerful set of features that make it flexible and relevant for any work environment. These include:
- Customized Casework fields with office-specific terminology and codes

With Workflow, users can:
- Create and store customized workflow routes that mirror office procedures
- Initiate a workflow process based on correspondence topic

Security
Capitol Correspond 8 is architected with a Hierarchal Organization Security Model that provides departmental and owner (record-level access) security within a role-based application security model. The new security model supports cascading privileges as well as allows for information to be shared or restricted to individuals based on their department affiliation and/or their business role. Enhanced security options allow you to customize access to information at the individual staff level. No other application on the market today is as suited for a centralized database deployed on an enterprise-wide level as Capitol Correspond 8. Systems Administrators and Management now have a powerful tool to customize the Capitol Correspond system to meet their organizational security requirements.
- Organize your enterprise based on business units/departments to implement your data security needs.
- Share records across business units/departments for collaboration and information-sharing.
- Allow multiple users to be assigned a security role.
- Reuse security roles for easy administration.
- Customize security privileges at the individual user level.
In the Communications Portal, cascading privileges allow users with rights, particularly Management, to drill down from the organizational level to the individual user level allowing Managers to get a quick overview of department as well as staff workloads. Management can get record counts, view outstanding assignments, reassign workloads, and take ownership of workflow items. The organization is at Management's fingertips in the Communications Portal.
